The image shows part of the west-facing coast of Kuah in Langkawi from the theme park of Lagenda Langkawi Dalam Taman, which extends over the water in the shape of a star towards the north, to a large coastal resort towards the southeast. The Langkawi Kuah Sea Bus Harbour, backed by the white-roofed service buildings and parking lots, is next to the theme park. Several ferries are leaving or entering the harbour. South of the ferry harbour, numerous boats are berthed in Marina Langkawi, with the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club next to it on the coast. Continuing southwards, beyond a hilly wooded headland is a beautiful beach overlooked by a large and newly-built resort. The old coast of beaches separated by hilly wooded headlands has been strikingly transformed.
