The Genting Highlands is a 2000 m high hill resort in Malaysia, 54 miles form Kuala Lumpur. It is approached by a steep road and by cableways, both of which are visible in the image. The resort has a casino, various theme parks, a wide choice of recreational activities both indoor and outdoor, and impressive tropical mountain views. The image has been rotated by 130º from the north to provide clear three-dimensional viewing. The dark object in the centre of the image is a lake with the Arena of Stars next to it under a brightly-coloured fan-shaped roof. The outdoor theme parks are to the right with a number of high-rise hotels round the perimeter. The high circular roof-top feature is the cable car station and the bright circular building close to the large car parks is the Genting International Conventional Center.
