A large number of fish farms give a geometric pattern to this image. Jatiluhur is a reservoir near Purwakarta, northwest of Bandung. The prosperous houses with their orange roofs, the well-maintained slopes, and the orderly appearance of the vegetation reflect the growth of a lakeside resort next to the reservoir. The fish farms have the appearance of ladders of various lengths, each with a coloured square that is the roof of the temporary shelter associated with each unit. The means of communication between the land and the farms are speedboats, several of which are visible, travelling extremely rapidly with long wakes in the still water of the reservoir.
