Standing at 3371 m, Mount Sumbing, a strato volcano, is the second highest peak in Central Java. To the northwest of Mount Sumbing is another strato volcano, Mount Sindoro which stands at 3136 m. Dieng plateau is a volcano complex with several small craters, some of which are filled with lakes.
